Family Mediation Centre opened approximately five years ago under the name Collaborative Solutions. Recognizing the need for Family Mediators to specialize and therefore be highly skilled in family law, as well as issues related to mental health issues such as: child development, anger management, and loss we changed our name.

To facilitate couples in the preparation of a mutually acceptable Separation Agreement. Where there are children involved to guide parents through a process that keep the best interest of the children in focus.
To provide a safe atmosphere which assures each participant is treated with dignity and respect and feels free to confidently participate in the negotiation related to their Separate Agreement.
To provide couples, who are in a high conflict situation, with a professional, non-partial, Parent Coordinator, to assist and guide them through important decisions relating to child care.
Bruce has been a professional Family Mediator for over five years, bringing a broad understands of human nature from formal education, extensive practice and life experience.
Bruce’s early career exploration as a youth in the Canadian Armed Forces, factory labourer, driving coach and school buses and long haul tractors throughout North America has provided extensive communication skills and is in touch with everyday life.
Prior to establishing his private practice, Family Mediation Center, Bruce is a United Church Minister leading and serving various congregations for 25 years. During that time Bruce worked with his parishioners assisting them through Individual counseling, separation and divorce, mental health issues and bereavement.
Bruce recognizes the process of separation is extremely stressful and is committed to helping couples determine solutions that meet the needs of the children and the parties involved. Unfortunately, when people are highly stressed miscommunication becomes the common barrier. As a professional, skilled mediator and through personal experience Bruce has the ability to assist the couples to communicate and focus on moving forward to develop a separation agreement that is acceptable to both parties.
Bruce has designed his home office to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere which includes a wide range of educational materials to help his clients. |
